Assemblymember Damon Connolly completes his third legislative session by successfully passing a robust legislative package comprised of 12 bills.

SACRAMENTO, CA – Assemblymember Damon Connolly (D-San Rafael) has successfully passed 12 bills out of the legislature, which include three that have already been signed by the Governor. The legislative cycle concluded on Saturday, September 13th, and now the Governor will review and assess all the bills that have passed and either sign or veto them.
“I am proud that this robust bill package addresses some of my district's most important issues, ranging from wildfire insurance, increasing mobilehome resident protections, and educational equity for vulnerable students," said Assemblymember Connolly. “It was a critical year for impactful legislation that protects our communities and ensures our community voices are being heard.”
The following bills authored by Assemblymember Connolly have passed both houses in the State Legislature. The Governor will now consider signing these measures into law:
- AB 1: Strengthens the Safer from Wildfires program to offer insurance relief to people taking steps to harden their homes.
- AB 14 (Joint-author): Expands the Protecting Blue Whales and Blue Skies program to reduce whale strikes and air pollution
- AB 258: Increases future funding for fairs to improve operation and emergency response.
- AB 393: Protects civil service physicians and psychiatrists working in prisons.
- AB 419: Requires schools to post the California Attorney General’s Immigration-Enforcement Actions at California Schools Guide for Students and Families in the administrative building and on the website.
- AB 456: Improves the buying and selling process for mobilehome owners, ensuring that the process is completed in a timely manner and without interference. This bill has been signed into law.
- AB 754: Improves issues faced by floating home residents in Marin County.
- AB 806: Provides mobilehome park residents the right to install cooling systems within their homes.
- AB 947: Ensures that all farmers can access the Healthy Soils Program, promoting climate-smart farming practices across California.
- AB 1096: Ensures that the public has access to vital information about lead levels in drinking water in California's schools and child care facilities.
- AB 1177: Improves CalFIRE staffing, so they can better respond to emergencies. This bill has been signed into law.
- AB 1459: Updates unified hazardous waste and hazardous materials management regulatory programs. This bill has been signed into law.
